Installation:

  1. Ensure the left side of your CAMEO 5α is clean and dry

  4. Press firmly for 10-15 seconds to ensure proper adhesion
  5. Load your tools and start crafting!

    Does it fit the regular CAMEO 5, not just the 5 Alpha?

    It's designed for the CAMEO 5α (5 Alpha). It may be compatible with the CAMEO 5 — the dimensions are believed to be identical — but the 5α is what it was built and tested around.

    How does it attach?

    Three strips of 3M VHB tape come pre-applied. Clean the left side of the machine, peel the backing, position, and press firmly for 10–15 seconds. The bond is permanent.

    Will the machine lid still open?

    Yes — the side-mount design leaves the lid free to open and close without obstruction.

    Are the tools or the machine included?

    No. You receive the tool holder with pre-applied tape only — the CAMEO machine and all crafting tools shown are for demonstration.

    Is a 3D-printed mount strong enough?

    Yes. Strength in a printed part comes from how thick its walls are and how much material is inside, and ours are built well beyond a typical hobby print: every part is printed in UV-resistant ASA with solid outer walls about 2.5 mm thick (six passes of material around every edge), a dense 75% internal fill, and solid top and bottom surfaces. Every design is tested in real-world conditions by full-time travelers.

    This is a convenient bin to access tools easily. The four star rating is because it does not fit in my storage bag so I cannot attach it to my silhouette. I may Velcro it so it can be easily taking off and out on.
